About Us

Preston’s Initiative Towards Charity and Humanity (PITCH) is a non-profit organization formally established in 2024 to celebrate the 10th birthday of Preston Thomas-Coleman Hubbard — a young man who has had a heart and spirit of servanthood and missions work from the moment he could walk.

Since infancy, Preston has worked alongside his parents, family, and friends in ministry. Even on his own, he has consistently shown love and compassion for those in need, especially the homeless and less fortunate. Preston has traveled the globe since he was a year old, with his first trip to Germany. During these trips, he was always taught by his parents’ example that, regardless of the nature of the trip, finding a “mission” — a way to give back and share the love of Christ with someone in need — was imperative and non-negotiable.

Through these experiences, both nationally and internationally, Preston developed a deep desire to bless the homeless population, whether by giving money, food, simply showing kindness, or offering his service. If he encountered someone in need and had nothing to give at that moment, he would cry until his parents found a way to return with something to share or a way to help.

As Preston grew, so did his heart for the community. Inspired by his compassion, his family started a tradition: on his birthdays, he didn’t just want to receive gifts — he wanted to give them as well. Every year, they plan a mission to create blessing bags for the homeless. Using his own money from allowances and gifts, he purchases items for the bags. He prepares sandwiches, grills steaks, packs the bags with his favorite snacks, and includes a note of encouragement written by him. The requirement is always to give away at least as many bags as the age he is turning that year. Additionally, he prepares meals for various holidays to ensure those less fortunate can enjoy the same food and experiences as everyone else — reminding them that they are loved and not forgotten.

To ensure they were supporting Preston’s purpose and nurturing the vision they saw in him, PITCH was officially born and gifted to Preston on his 10th birthday. The organization aims to provide a venue for other young people who are like-minded in heart and spirit to partner with Preston and his family to reach, empower, and uplift the community and world through various acts of love, teaching, and kindness.
